"We are very
happy with our decision to use Wild Animal Tracks
products in our wildlife identification labs. They have
added considerably to the ability of students to learn to
identify animal tracks, plus they are resilient and easy to
store. The students always are remarking how they appreciate
being able to see the actual tracks of animals, rather than
just examining pictures in a book. Considering the time,
effort and cost that we would have to invest in collection
of our own series of track casts, these products are a great
addition to our teaching collection."

Deer
The
Deer lives on grasses, leaves, shoots, twigs and flowers
throughout North and South America. The population is
threatened by hunting and loss of habitat but responds to
land stewardship management plans where these are in place.
The deer is a shy
creature, and often difficult to spot in its natural
woodland habitat.
Symbolism
and Inspiration of the Deer
Since the beginning of time it is believed the healing and
inspirational power of wild animals can be a source of
guidance in our daily lives. According to ancient beliefs,
the deer is a symbol of kindness, acceptance, purity
of purpose and gentleness of spirit. In some cultures the
deer also represents longevity and wealth. Deer reflects a
connection to the earth and forest, and an assurance that
calm will follow the storm. Apply gentleness to your life,
accept others as they are, and you will be guided towards
peace. The only true balance to power is love and
compassion.

Coyote
The
image of the lone Coyote howling at the moon has long
been a symbol of the North American wilderness. Yet in
reality, the Coyote is not a solitary animal. They mate for
life and often hunt in packs. Coyotes prey on smaller
animals inhabiting grass and woodland areas.
Symbolism
and Inspiration of the Coyote
Since the beginning of time it is believed the healing and
inspirational power of wild animals can be a source of
guidance in our daily lives. According to ancient beliefs,
the coyote is a symbol of the trickster or prankster
and always appears when life is getting too serious.
Coyote's levity and open-mindedness encourages us to see
other points of view, other faces of the moon with both
wisdom and insight. Coyote is a master storyteller who
brings the healing medicine of laughter into the stories of
our lives and the tales we weave with others.

Fox
The
Red Fox is one of Canada's most widespread animals,
found in all regions of the country and much of the United
States. Known for its luxurious fur coat, the Red Fox is
intelligent, lightly-built and fast. It is also shy,
secretive and has a nervous disposition. With its excellent
eyesight and agile movements the Red Fox hunts small animals
in the forests and grasslands. In summer it also feeds on
insects and berries.
Symbolism
and Inspiration
of the Red Fox
Since the beginning of time it is believed the healing and
inspirational power of wild animals can be a source of
guidance in our daily lives. According to ancient beliefs,
the fox is clever, quick witted, observant and
adaptable, keenly aware of its surroundings, and always
knows the time and place for action. Its swiftness of
thought and action and decisiveness allows it to be a great
protector of the family unit. The fox shows us how to be
adaptable - to flow seamlessly through situations and around
obstacles like the clear running currents of a stream.

the striped markings around its eyes. It is also known
for its habit of washing its food in water before
eating. The Raccoon eats fruits, nuts, insects, reptiles
and crops . Almost every habitat is its home, even urban
areas.
Symbolism and Inspiration of the Raccoon
Since the beginning of time it is believed the healing
and inspirational power of wild animals can be a source
of guidance in our daily lives. According to ancient
beliefs, the raccoon is a symbol of curiosity,
agility and mischievousness. Raccoon has an open,
inquisitive mind and a heart that thirsts for adventure.
Raccoon counsels us to continually explore our
surroundings and expand our boundaries in order to see
and experience all that life can offer.
