The
Moose is the largest of the deer family. It eats
about 45 pounds of leaves, branches, twigs and
marshland plants a day. Some Moose are solitary;
others live in small groups. They are found in
northern North America, as far up as Alaska.
Symbolism and Inspiration of the Moose
Since the beginning of time it is believed the
healing and inspirational power of wild animals can
be a source of guidance in our daily lives.
According to ancient beliefs, the moose is a
symbol of confidence, self esteem and steadfast
determination. Purposeful and direct, the moose
takes pride in accomplishment, but always maintains
strong values and integrity. Moose reminds us that
contemplative silence guides and informs our
decisions. From a place of quiet reflection, we may
proceed on our path with the winds of determination
and confidence behind us.
